ATTENTION
Our servers have detected that your web browser does not have the Java Virtual Machine installed or it is not functioning properly. Please install this software in order to view our interactive Java tutorials. Visitors using the Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers can download the appropriate software from the websites where the browsers are distributed. The tutorial will initialize with both the image and the reticle out of focus. First, use the Specimen Focus slider to move the specimen into focus, then use the Reticle Focus slider to focus the photomask reticle. The illumination can be controlled by the Lamp Intensity slider. Utilize this slider to darken or lighten the specimen in order to make the photomask reticle more visible. Alternatively, use the Reticle Color radio buttons to toggle between red, yellow, and black reticle colors to find a color that will provide sufficient contrast against the selected specimen. A pull-down menu will allow selection from a list of specimens.
